Me

I was born an odd shade of beetroot in New Delhi. Soon I developed fingernails and learned to draw all over my parents’ chalky white walls. They kept my drawings and called them ‘actually kind of cool’. That was my first piece of art direction and they were my first clients.

After 2 relationships, 4 internships, 1 jetski driven up a mountain, 3 different cities and an education at Central Saint Martins with the worlds most interesting people, I now live in Amsterdam and work at Wieden and Kennedy.

I have been here for 7 years and found myself here. I work with the most incredible aliens on brands like Hennessy, Nike, Corona, Zalando, Airbnb, Facebook, Allianz, Samsung and many more. I also proudly call myself the “Pitch Bitch” because I love a high risk, high stress situation. I’m working on this with my therapist.

Being a woman of colour navigating my way through white, male waters, I have been extremely aware of who I am and what it means to have privilege in this world. I am more passionate about the activism involved in uplifting marginalised communities than absolutely anything else.

When the world gets heavy, I make art. I paint beautiful people of colour, thriving. I find rebellion in joy. I also make digital art for magazines, events, techno concerts and myself. I sometimes paint silly murals for serious workspaces. So I guess a lot has happened, but I’m still out here drawing on walls.

I was born an odd shade of beetroot red in New Delhi one stormy day in September. Soon I started walking and learned to draw all over my parents’ perfectly chalky white walls like a maniacal red cabbage with fingernails. They kept my drawings and called them ‘actually kind of cool’. That was my first piece of art direction and they were my first clients.

After 4 internships, 3 different cities, 2 relationships, 1 jetski driven up a mountain and 1298 styrofoam salad boxes at Central Saint Martins, I now live in Amsterdam and work at Wieden and Kennedy. Where I’ve been Creative Directing Zalando and Triumph for the last year.

I have also had the incredible opportunity to work on brands like Louis Vuitton, Hennessy, Nike, Corona, Airbnb, Facebook, Allianz, Samsung, Evian and many more. I proudly call myself the “Pitch Bitch” because I love a high risk, high stress situation which I’m talking through with my therapist.

When the world gets heavy, I make art. I work will oil pastels and paint to make stories of people surviving and thriving. I also make digital art for magazines like 032c, art galleries like Khoj, techno concerts (that i passionately loathe) and myself. I sometimes paint silly murals for serious workspaces. So I guess a lot has happened, but I’m still out here drawing on walls.
